Itâs Friday. That means two things:
Country-style chicken hearts and a small glass of rebellion â whiskey, of course. đ„
The dish? Tender chicken hearts, sautéed slowly with veggies until everything was cozy, rich, and smelled like something Grandma would approve of.
Onions, carrots, and maybe a few secret herbs that jumped in without asking. đČ
Itâs rustic, itâs old-school, and honestly â itâs kind of magical.
The challenge of the day?
Getting the hearts just right â not too rubbery, not too soft. They need love and patience (and I gave them both).
Also, I may or may not have set off the kitchen smoke alarm. But no casualties â only flavor.
And the whiskey?
A bold move. But hey, itâs the weekend.
The pairing was better than expected â warm, rich, and a little dangerous. Just like this meal.
That was a real abracadabra meal.
I should do magic more often!
